Bandwagon effect:
Huge amounts of facts, so-called ‘facts’, guidance etc
How do you know what to believe?
Sustainability is interdisciplinary and complex
‘Quick fixes’ can do more harm than good
e.g. biofuels:
Caused huge and inappropriate disruption to agricultural patterns
Not as ‘green’ as they appear at first sight
What do we need for survival?
Huge changes to our outlook and practices:
Frugal rather than extravagant: enough is all we need
Strive for common good rather than individual gain
Waste of anything is unacceptable
